Adorable Puppy Slumber at 5,000 Feet
Rucker was an adorable ten-week-old Jack Russell puppy who proved to be more than expected for the woman who had him for just one day. She didn’t realize how much attention the little guy was willing to give or the exuberance a puppy can bring to a home.
Rucker was turned in to Robin Manley at Finding Great Homes Rescue in Greensboro, North Carolina ( https://awos.petfinder.com/ shelters/findinggreathomes. html ) and Robin turned to Pilot N Paws to see if she could find some volunteer pilots to fly Rucker to his forever home in Manassas, Virginia.
Pam and Steve answered the call and flew to Greensboro from Raleigh, North Carolina where they met Robin, tucked Rucker in their arms, and flew him to a new home with a family who was eagerly waiting for him to arrive. They had Jack Russell’s in the past and knew what to expect from the cute bundle of energy.
Rucker enjoyed the flight and seemed to enjoy licking Steve’s bald head every time he had to lean over and trim the airplane in flight. Pam said, “He was a handful, energetic, and loved looking around. His favorite toy was my fingers but he was a fun passenger and I’m glad we had to opportunity to be a part of his life.” Rucker tired himself out during the flight and cuddled up in Pam’s arms to enjoy some slumber at 5,000 feet.
