Snowy Ships Out

Here is one that is a bit of a change from our (Mike and Kristin) usual milk-run from Savannah. It was fun, but I have to admit we miss our short visit with Rhonda and Bob.

Last week my wife Kristin and I noticed a little dog by the name of Snowy on the PNP site looking for a ride to Ann Arbor, Michigan. My family lives near there, so we figured this was as good an excuse we would have to visit my parents over the Memorial Day weekend. We picked up Snowy in Waukegan, IL on Saturday from Joahnna of the Midwest Shiba Inu Rescue Team and traveled past downtown Chicago on our way to Ann Arbor.

Snowy traveled just fine and seemed to be relaxed during the trip. Upon arrival in Ann Arbor, we were met by Steve for the final transfer of the trip. Lindsey and Steve are now fostering Snowy and report that she has settled into their home just fine. All in all, this was a great way to spend the holiday weekend and a nice change from the chaos of sharing our airplane with 15+ dogs. We all need a vacation, once in a while. Many thanks to Dawn Brumleve of the Midwest Shiba Inu Rescue Team for arranging this transport and also Joahnna, Lindsey and Steve, the fosters. Keep up the good work!
