THE HUCK STOPS HERE!
Just before Christmas, I was notified of a dog that had been dumped at a dollar store here. The kind woman that found him had him vetted, neutered, microchipped and named him Huck.
She asked me to help find him a home.
I posted his picture and offered to fly him to any approved home. It wasn’t long, in fact, I believe it was 6:00 the next morning that I got a message that Huck would be perfect for their 17 year old son that had been begging for a dog!
We started working on a Christmas surprise plan. Her son, Camden, was a student and worked on weekends, so we had to get creative. His Mom decided that I should just text him to meet us at the airport after church on Sunday, while they were at lunch. As you can imagine, Camden was suspicious of meeting a stranger at the airport and the texts back and forth were hilarious! It all made sense when we walked into that airport with Huck on a leash.
Camden and Huck are best buddies now. The family has loved being first time dog owners and I have loved getting updates from them!
