Darin and Jackie sent in an update on Chloe, who caught a Pilots N Paws flight and made her way to Midwest Border Collie Rescue.

“Chloe saw the neurologist today. It’s been a bit of a roller coaster these past 10 days. The doctor today didn’t think there was feeling in her hind legs and that everything she is doing is reflexive. I was very bummed to hear this. She does have some bacteria in her bladder which they are trying to figure out which medicine will cure it. Typical antibiotics are not going to work. And she has some yucky stuff in her stool.

Neurologist ran a blood rest today to see if she has a fungus inside her which could be causing the legs to be the way they are. Most likely not the case as we know she had significant trauma 6 months ago but there is a slight chance it could be part of the issue. So we decided to run the rest to rule it out because if she dose have a fungus it will make her worse and if we detect it now it’s for the better. If we don’t do it and she gets worse I’d kick myself for not checking right off the bat.

Other than that she is doing really well.”
