A horrific story with a heartwarming ending!
I want to begin by saying how impressed I am with Pilots N Paws. It’s an amazing organization of caring and compassionate people. 
Sven is from the non-profit charity foundation No Dogs Left Behind. Sven was rescued from the dog meat/fur trade by the founder Jeffrey Beri and his brave team of front line activists. 
After rehabilitating the rescued dogs Jeffery and his team put the dogs up for adoption. As head of adoptions for #NoDogsLeftBehind it was my pleasure getting Sven his forever loving home. We knew he would be arriving April 23rd into #ChicagoOHare airport with the assistance of Jeffrey Beri himself yet we needed to get him to his forever home in Tennessee. That’s where #PilotsNPaws becomes critical to our story.
Sven was adopted by a woman named Belinda Miller. She has used your organization before as she herself is involved in rescue. Belinda was very happy with her experience. Belinda arranged a two part transport with one leg taking Sven from Wisconsin to Ohio with a kind #pilot Eric Jones and then Ohio to his new home in Tennessee. On the day of transport the second pilot had to cancel do to weather. Of course we all panicked. Immediately Belinda took to the #PNP pilots forum ride board in search for a solution. 
Within hours a new pilot stepped up and he wasn’t the only one. Multiple people came forward to help. One person even offering to keep Sven over night and drive two hours to another airport to escape the weather front. It was remarkable to see the way people wanted to help. 
Ultimately a pilot by the name of Nick Costello came forward and offered to take Sven on the second leg of the journey home from Indiana to Tennessee. 
Sven arrived safely at 6pm in Tennessee where he was greeted with love by his new family, mom Belinda and daughter Kaitlin Miller. 
Although Sven’s story begins in China with him experiencing the most horrific animal cruelties inflicted by man it was beyond heartwarming to know that upon landing on America soil he has experienced nothing but compassion and kindness thank you for being a part of his journey home.
He is a very special dog with a very special story. There are 175 more dogs with stories like Sven at the No Dogs Left Behind Shelter/Sanctuary in Beijing.
