14 for the 4th! Pilot Scott flies them home!

This trip started with the email blast about the 8 beagles that were discovered living in squalor in a small wooden box in TENN  with 1 airhole, almost total darkness, and almost no food or water.

Did somebody say beagles??

I offered free transport anywhere east of the Mississippi if anyone would step up and take them all.

That's a lot of Beagles!

Ann Robinson from Sandhills beagle rescue agreed to take them all, along with Elvis a lazy ole coonhound who manged to steal everyones heart at the shelter with his gentle heart.

Elvis the hound has left the building and is headed for the plane!

As I was planning the Tenn flight to get the 8 beagles another email came in about ROKA the 13 year old beagle in NC. It seems her owners moved to Africa and dropped their famiy dog off at the vet and said, “do what you want with her”. Lovely people, yes?

Room for one more? Of course!

She said YES, so we left jackson tenn with our 8 abused beagles, 2 more bound for NJ, Elvis the lazy coon, and 3 puggles for Tammy Darrow in Easton. We stopped in MT AiRY NC, and Surry Animal Rescue (Linda Mooney) was kind enough to bring the sweet old girl to the local airport for us.  Scott

Is that a beagle on the tail of Scott's Plane? Yep !

Bless all of you – we’ve raised and rescued several beagles over the years and it always breaks our hearts when we read of animal abuse, especially beagles.

  13. Cari says:

First I want to say THANK YOU! You have lifted my spirits more than I can say – you see we had a wonderful Beagle in our family for 13 years and worked for over a year to find someone to take her…because of her age even no kill shelters turned us down, so I was very grateful that a friend took her for us, passed her along to the vet who passed her along to you. I am sad you think we abandoned her as you presented in your article, but to me, where Roka is now is more important than what you think of us. God bless!
