Honey and Bailey “land” their story in OZ , Channel Nine’s Denham Hitchcock Reports
U.S. Correspondent for Australia Channel Nine, Denham Hitchcock, took a Pilots N Paws journey with “Honey” and “Bailey”. Pilot Jason Chipkin generously volunteered to fly these pups to their awaiting homes and rescue. Thank you Jason! Denham felt his viewers in Australia would enjoy hearing about this touching story and seeing how the Pilots N Paws program works. Perhaps this will prompt someone in Oz to begin a similar mission? Thank you Denham, Jason and the endless rescue volunteers who made sure Honey and Bailey flew to safety over the holidays! It is definitely a Happy New Year!
Behind the scenes story from Blake Donovan, founder of ResQPet dog rescue in CA:
“ResQPet dog rescue pulled (rescued) Honey the Chow girl from the shelter. Lance Hunter is the manager of the Baldwin Park Shelter where Honey was being held and he is the man you see walking to get Honey from the kennels. When “Honey” arrived in Sacramento she was met by Cheryl Douglas who is the Founder of “Chows Plus” dog rescue. Cheryl will foster ” Honey” until she finds her perfect “furever” home..
Ryan Harlow works with Eskie Rescue United and he is the man who brought “Bailey” the eskie to the airport. Rebecca is our dedicated “captain” on the ground who figures out how to best move these animals.
Again thank you for all that Pilots N Paws does to help animals, without your organization many, many dogs and cats would die.
