It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Jeff’s 500th rescue critter!

Jeff Bennett just completed the transport of his 500th animal to safety!  He is an amazing man with an extraordinary passion for helping the animals who come his way. Thank you Jeff, for your dedication!!  We received this from Jeff this week expecting it to be the transport of a dog but his milestone 500th transport was Wendell the Rooster!

“Wendell is a Key West rooster who loves to follow people around the Key West Humane Society.

Pilot Jeff and his 500th passenger, Mr. Wendell

The people at KWHS were sad to see him go but he had found a new home at Rooterville in Gainesville, Florida.  Rooterville is a sanctuary for wayward pigs and apparently they have chickens around to help eat the bugs that live areound most farms.  I agreed to move Wendell to Merritt Island, Florida where I have been working on some advanced flight training and meet up with a ground transporter who would take Wendell the rest of the way to Gainesville.  Jeff  (Wendell is my 500th critter moved)”

Jeff making sure Wendell is comfortable for his flight!

Thank you for all you’ve done. Without you, the dogs you’ve helped would never have had a chance.

WTG, Jeff!! There’s no species you’ve refused to transport, is there? When are you writing a book of your trips and will you play yourself when the movie comes out?
You’re one in a million!!! Thanks for all your flights.

Your 250th pup was one of mine, named Emily, that you flew down to south FL for me with a BUNCH of others. Now…you have completed another 250! I bet Wendell didn’t get to sit in Heather’s lap like Emily did…ha!!
    Until next time………..
