May, Tux, and some of their Heros

Dear Pilot Ed, Mac and Mike,

We are the “home” shelter for May and Tux. We are Rescued Unwanted Furry Friends also known as Ruff Rescue Fort Walton Beach, and we would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to all of you for your kind and generous love and support in getting May and Tux home to their family that they love so much. It was amazing to see how beautifully their flight went. You made it look so easy, and I’m sure it took careful planning and expertise that we will never be able to comprehend or know about. I will admit that I was very nervous yesterday while at the same time excited to see how beautifully and professionally coordinated this trip was for them. We also wish to thank Jennifer, Pat and Mike’s buddy who assisted him as well. What a great group of people you all are and a special “thank you” to Dena Stapleton for making it happen.

May and Tux, nervous and then not so much.

May was trembling a bit for the first half hour, but also falling asleep while sitting up - even caught falling over at one point - just didn't want to lay down yet... They both relaxed and fell asleep with the sun shining thru the back windows.

Words cannot express how much we appreciate what you have done not only for May, Tux and their family but for helping our shelter as well. We are doing all we can to save our beautiful no kill shelter and ever since we lost our funding from our supporters due to the Gulf Oil Spill we have barely managed to keep our doors open. It was a relief to know that May and Tux are now safe and will have a wonderful “rest of their lives”.

God Bless each and every one of you and we wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
