Amity and Gracie Lou, Spanky, Wilson, Teddy and Lexi are one step closer to home.

Amity was found tied up at a FoodLion store in North Carolina, and Gracie Lou was found wandering in the woods with her mom and siblings. Pam Hensley fostered Spanky, Wilson, Teddy and Lexi in North Carolina until they were old enough for adoption.

Weather started deteriorating on the day of their flight which grounded the first leg of the trip. Pam drove all 6 dogs about 2 and a half hours to meet up with pilot Charlie Derk and his wife Casey, who flew the dogs non-stop from North Carolina to northern New Jersey. Local rescue, Crate Escape from Wappinger’s Falls, NY, is working on getting all of them foster homes until they can be adopted.
