Jay Archer with "Markie Mark" Knoxville Downtown Airport

Today’s K9 passenger on Pilots n Paws airlines flew from Knoxville to Roanoke, VA. Markie was found as a stray wandering down the interstate. He was full of ticks, fleas and in really bad shape. The rescue folks stepped in and vetted him, and now he is in NY state with his new foster.

Markie holds down the packing blanket real well.

Markie spent his day with jim in a Beech Baron, Chip and Elliot in a Cherokee 140, and Janice in an Archer. He has seen the inside of more models of airplanes in one day than the average population sees in a lifetime. Many thanks to all the pilots and volunteers to make the transport happen.  Markie is a good dog and will find his forever home shortly.
